The University of North Texas was looking for a campaign that could help serve two purposes: Recruit new students and inspire alumni to give back.

How do we use one stone to knock out these two birds? We make being a UNT alum a badge of honor. We make prospective students excited to join the Mean Green. We make alumni proud of being part of their alma mater.

To do this, we shone a light on what we considered the real UNT: UNT is a Tier One research university. UNT is a world class music school and has one of the top Jazz Studies programs. UNT, while not traditionally an athletic powerhouse, can run with the big dogs in football and basketball. And, perhaps most importantly, UNT is a public, affordable university.

UNT is truly a hidden gem.

The Approach

We wanted something dynamic and exciting. We wanted something that stood out. We wanted something that would capture the wide range of opportunities available at UNT, from music to business to athletics to clubs.

We leveraged digital banner ads, meta ads, billboards, and video. Thanks to the success of the Mean Green Football team we also had the opportunity to air ads on Prime Time ESPN and ABC during some of their biggest games of the year.
